PHP/Web coder(s) wanted!

March 13th, 2007 by Mr.Mouse

The Xentax Foundation is looking for PHP/Web coders to work on a user interface dedicated to game file format research. Xentax has been active in the game modding scene for a long time, offering tools such as MultiEx Commander, hosting knowledge via the Xentax Game File Wiki and hosting a community-driven game file discussion forum. Indeed, at the forum a team of investigators examine game resource archives, audio formats, graphic formats, compression/encryption techniques, 2D/3D models and any other game related files, by user’s request! We believe it is time to take this work to a new and dedicated level by creating a new webinterface for gamers to use to suggest new files for research. Any new requests should be documented clearly, a team-member needs to be able to comment on the progress of the investigation, the latest results/findings on a file should be added to the wiki automatically. Gamers/users need to be able to comment on the progress as well. Example files should be provided by users and stored for anyone else to download. These are but some of the features that this dedicated interface should enable. We welcome anyone who wants to cooperate to contact us, or who simply wants to make suggestions, forward ideas etc. Contact us at i n f o @xentax.com (remove the spaces) . Please note that this is on a volunteer-basis only, with periodic rewards such as a game of free choice. We are a non-profit organisation.
