The Team page up

Sunday, August 6th, 2006 by Mr.Mouse

I have put up a list of people that have proven their worth to the MultiEx project, in no order of importance. All others that participate, but are not mentioned, please don’t be mad. Just send a hitman, if you feel like it, but I couldn’t just reproduce the forum member list, now could I? All that help out are very important, so there! Click to go to the The Team page.

“Ad”ding game mod support

Thursday, July 6th, 2006 by Mr.Mouse

Regular visitors of our cybercatacombs may have noticed a few changes, other than just the site layout. A few days ago, we put up some Google ads on our Xentax WIKI, Forum and Frontpage. Some of you may wonder why. Well, as a Foundation, we rely on donations to exist. These ads offer just another means of putative income. At the moment the system is crawling ahead and shows a bunch of irrelevant ads. We are ensured that this will become better in the coming weeks. We have also posted a call for feedback on this matter in our MultiEx Game Request forum, so feel free to join the discussion. We are dedicated to the Game Modding community. Programming, games, and game file analysis are our prime interests!

Site design updated

Monday, July 3rd, 2006 by Captain

Captain speaking here. I’ve updated the site with the new design. There’s a minor positioning issue with IE that has to do with something I missed while converting the HTML to WordPress templates. I can’t be bothered with it at this point, and will probably investigate the problem while riding the commuter train in the morning. I’ll fix it eventually. Also, the main text right margin is just a bit too narrow, which I’ll also fix.

Anyway, I think it looks pretty good and it’s one step towards some kind of unified design for the entire site. Comments and scathing critisism are welcome, although I doubt anyone cares. Either way, here it is!

EDIT: All issues fixed.

Game archive research slowed

Monday, July 3rd, 2006 by Mr.Mouse

Right, just thought I’d let you know I have little time these days to do some game archive format research, especially on the new requests coming in at the forum. This is due to a work overload at my daily job, and time I have to spend on the upcoming release of MexCom. Plus there’s plenty of other stuff that takes up my time. Please have patience with me, I will be back at full strength after the next release. Promise.

Xentax Founded!

Friday, June 30th, 2006 by Mr.Mouse

So here’s the big news I was talking about! “Xentax founded? Wasn’t it already founded way back in 1989? ” Indeed it was. But, on monday the 26th of june 2006, we have founded Xentax officially. From now on, we are part of the Xentax Foundation, a non-profit organisation that aims to enhance the quality of internet for those in need of it. For example, we will aim to host high quality websites for a ludicrous low price for those projects deemed priority by the board.

We will aim to support cool projects by people with low cashflow so they can have a place to present their work. We have many more ideas, and suggestions are welcome. Our scope is broad! The Xentax Foundation will also be the fundament of game archive resource modding, with MexCom, the Xentax forum and the Xentax WIKI opting to become the spearpoints in this area of internet-based research. Xentax was founded by Mr.Mouse AKA Mike Zuurman (Chairman) and Captain Corny AKA Arjan Dikhoff (Secretary) according to Dutch law (KvK 02094186).

XeNTaX WIKI maintenance

Sunday, May 28th, 2006 by Mr.Mouse

We are currently working on an update of the Xentax Game Resoure Archive WIKI code. So, during this time the site is down. We have to discuss these matters with our host, and hope to be up and running soon once again. The reason for this update is A. to have the latest Mediawiki code and B. to be able to tag MultiEx Scripts in the future so MexCom can use scripts people post at the WIKI as well. More on that later.

Second post

Sunday, April 30th, 2006 by Captain

Possible new layout for XeNTaXThis sure is an improvement compared to the other tool Mr. Mouse tried. I’m also using this post to test the image capabilities of this blog.

blah blah, just added a divider. [update: apparently, the ba icon is not a divider, but splits the post into a teaser and a ‘read more’ part]

right justified text

back to left

indenting makes the world go round

…but it’s not strikethrough, bold, italic, or all together.

  • textjkljlkj
    text 2
  • blah

I like it a lot…
