XeNTaX WIKI released!

Sunday, May 29th, 2005 by Mr.Mouse

The XeNTaX WIKI is a project started by XeNTaX, authors of MultiEx Commander, to create an online free reference base where game modders and potential game modders can find information about the formats of Game Resource Archives (GRA). Usually, GRAs are the files that contain all the resources of a game, such as sounds, textures and scripts. Examples include, C&C Generals *.BIG files, Painkiller *.PAK files, Sacrifice *.WAD files and many, many more. A unique team has worked very hard to already give specifications for more than 600 Game Resource Archive Formats (GRAFs)! Furthermore, information about tools, tutorials and other game-modification related subjects are also to be found! This team is Mr.Mouse (of MultiEx Commander), Watto (of Game Extractor) and Elbereth (of Dragon Unpacker). The website was maintained by Captain Corny, XeNTaX’ webmaster.

You could say that this was a fruitful Dutch-French-Australian collaboration!

Remember, it’s a WIKI, so anyone can edit the WIKI pages to make the best resource available on the net in the field.
